So, I had my hubby measure my hair and it’s finally about 10-12 inches long (at least the hair I am willing to part with). I have been reading several different sites to see what, where, when, how, etc. This site, 6 Places to Donate Hair, has been really helpful, especially since it was updated in June 2015. I also know I can call or check out specific organization’s websites (and I will), but I’m curious to know what others have done and where you have donated. Locks of Love? Angel Hair for Kids? Where did you send your hair? Did you go to a special place to have it done? Did you do it yourself? What was your experience like?
Does anyone have an insider knowledge of if these organizations receive too much hair, too little, sell it, trash it, etc? What about any children’s hospitals, do you know of any that have an in-house hair donation project?
